In this short article, we are going to consider our connection with everyone.
Of course, the obvious and true 'connection' we have with all living beings, is that we share the same True Nature. Or, we are the same Consciousness. Nevertheless, we are going to take a different perspective in this article. We shall look at how we are all connected, but from a different standpoint.
The reason for this article, is that the ultimate 'standpoint' of Consciousness or Awareness may not resonate with everyone. For some of us, this may simply be another idea or concept. See, if we are identifying as a person or a physical body, we shall see other 'persons' or 'physical bodies' around us too.
Therefore, we are exploring this alternative point of view.
We have different cultural backgrounds. We come from different societies, we have different religions, customs, and beliefs. We think in different ways, our sense of 'logic' differs. We feel differently about many things.
There is a lot of proof that we are in fact different from each other. This is obvious, right?
Yet, in the two previous articles, we explored how variety and diversity do not necessarily mean separation.
Looking past all our gross and subtle differences, let's consider what we have in common. Besides the obvious fact that Consciousness is the underlying Reality of everyone and everything, all of us have the same wish. We wish to be happy.
Everyone wants lasting peace and happiness. This is also known as fulfillment. We can even see this in nature. We are all striving towards peace and happiness.
Considering this, we can start to understand the behavior of those around us, as well as our own behavior. The motivation behind our actions is the longing for peace and happiness, even though we tend to look for lasting peace and happiness in the 'wrong places'.
Nevertheless, this is what unites us. The yearning for lasting peace and happiness. Knowing this, the apparent space between ourselves and others dissolves. We start to acknowledge our Oneness.
The result, is Love.
