Last night, the author was watching the news and an interesting topic made headlines. There was a headline of an amazing telescope that was designed. The lady on the news announced that the purpose of this telescope was to "find the origin of the universe".
The author had a chuckle. This was quite funny, looking for the source of the universe, as far away from ourself as possible.
So, how did the universe come into existence? Did the universe begin at some specific point in time? What was before the universe? Or rather, what is the origin of the universe?
These are questions we may think about.
The intention behind this article is not to question or debate the amazing work of science. The intention is to open ourselves to considering something we may not have considered before.
We cannot identify where the first seed came from. It is almost like the story of the chicken and the egg - who came first?
Linear rationality cannot answer these questions. Ignorance is endless, beginningless.
The same applies when we search for the origin of the universe externally.
See, the dream-world and everything in it is simply dreamt into existence. The dream-world has no foundation, other than ourself. The dream only exists within us, and is not separate from us.
Our dream-body and the dream-world are created together. They arise together, from the same source. They dissolve together, into the same source.
When we wake up from the dream, we know that none of this really existed.
Yet, when we consider ourselves to be a person, a physical body, does this physical body and the universe not appear at the same time?
Waking up from deep sleep, the physical body and the world arise simultaneously. Where do they arise from? From within us, of course.

A tree and a seed
Let's consider a tree. Where does a tree come from? Well, from a seed of a previous tree, we may say. And, where did this tree come from? Again, from the seed of a previous tree, we may say. So, this is an endless theory with no conclusion, right? We cannot identify where the first seed came from. It is almost like the story of the chicken and the egg - who came first?
Linear rationality cannot answer these questions. Ignorance is endless, beginningless.
The same applies when we search for the origin of the universe externally.
The dream
Now, let's consider a dream. When we dream, do we question how the dream-world came into existence? Do we question who gave birth to the dream-people, who planted the dream-trees, who built the dream-houses?See, the dream-world and everything in it is simply dreamt into existence. The dream-world has no foundation, other than ourself. The dream only exists within us, and is not separate from us.
Our dream-body and the dream-world are created together. They arise together, from the same source. They dissolve together, into the same source.
When we wake up from the dream, we know that none of this really existed.
The universe
We may think that the universe is out there and we are this small person, over here. This happens when we identify as a body, as a person.Yet, when we consider ourselves to be a person, a physical body, does this physical body and the universe not appear at the same time?
Waking up from deep sleep, the physical body and the world arise simultaneously. Where do they arise from? From within us, of course.
Does this sound familiar? The same as the appearance of a dream?
Checking up, does the dream-world exist separate from us? No, the dream exists within us, it is our own creation.
Now, does the universe exist separate from us? Is it possible that the universe is our own creation, and all of it is only ourSelf?
Is it possible that we are pure Consciousness, and the world appears within us, as our own creation, our own dream?
For these answers, we do not turn to science, but to Silence.
